Bidyut Dutta

Mr. Bidyut Dutta is currently working as an Engineer in the Airframe Materials and Processes group of Airbus India. He pursued his M. Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from IIT Bombay in 2018. Mr. Dutta is President of IIT Bombay Alumni Association, Bengaluru Chapter.nnRecalling his time spent at IIT Bombay, Mr. Dutta said, “I secured the 1st position amongst the M. Tech. batch of the Metallurgical department and received the prestigious Institute Silver Medal during the Convocation ceremony. That I got the medal from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, was the best feeling ever”nnHis hobbies include public speaking, playing cricket and listening to music.

Utsab Mukherjee

Mr. Utsab Mukherjee is a scientist at SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corporation), R&D, Bengaluru. He placed number 16 on the GATE All India Rank and completed his M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2014.nnRecalling his time spent at IIT Bombay, Mr. Mukherjee said, “IIT Bombay has a special place in my heart. The beautiful campus, Campus hub, YP Gate, Sports GC, TumTum, Powai Lake view, Sameer Hills, and leopard spotting are some of the many memories I have. I still miss the Hakka Noodles and Dry Chilli Chicken of Gulmohar and also the spontaneous vibe of the campus”. His hobbies include cooking, travelling and food blogging.

Dr. Sanjay Bhardwaj

Dr. Sanjay Bhardwaj is a Scientist – F and Head, Centre for Technology Acquisition and Transfer, International Advanced Research Centre (ARCI), Hyderabad. He completed his Ph.D. from the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management at IIT Bombay in 2014. His thesis titled ‘Developing a Commercialization Model for the Advanced Materials Technology Sector in the Indian Context’, won the e Emerald / EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards sponsored by the International Journal of Operations and Production Management (IJOPM) – one of the top ranked journals in the world in the field of Operations Management. In addition, he was recognized for many of his other accomplishments including The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) – ICI India Ltd. Award for developing and implementing a novel methodology for (a) R & D assessment, and (b) identifying value addition needs for translational research.nnRecalling his time spent at IIT Bombay pursuing his Doctoral research, Dr. Bhardwaj said, “I recall academic discussions with my batchmates, juniors, seniors, and faculty members. My interactions with IIT Bombay faculty members and alumni have continued even after the completion of my doctoral degree. I cherish my memories from these interesting and useful associations”.nnHis hobbies include reading, walking and interacting with family and friends.

Avishma Matta

Ms. Avishma Matta is an Independent Consultant. She obtained her B.Tech. (Honors) degree in Civil Engineering and a Minor from the Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay in 2013.nnRecalling her time spent at IIT Bombay, Ms. Matta said, “I remember that fateful night when after a long walk with some friends along campus roads someone from the group came up with a brilliant idea of watching a horror movie. This was at 3.00 am. I said no, they said yes, so we watched not one but three horror movies back-to-back! Do I even have to mention how grateful I was to have a roommate who I could wake up, if I wanted to go to the loo at night? What are friends for, as they say?”nnHer hobbies include outdoor activities, driving and kitesurfing.
