IIT Bombay honoured and celebrated the exceptional achievements of 30 of its women alumnae with a special event, the ‘IIT Bombay Gen Zero Women Initiative,’ held at the IIT Bombay campus on Friday, September 23, 2022. The Institute felicitated its women alumnae who represent the initial years of IIT Bombay since its establishment in 1958.

IIT Bombay is recognised as an “Institute of Eminence” and has been consistently ranked amongst the top two universities in India (QS World University Rankings). The Institute continues to be at the forefront of scientific discovery, with the faculty and students excelling in cutting edge research in emerging technologies, as well as engaging in translation of innovations towards commercialization. their research. The Institute continues to be the first-choice for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

IIT Bombay gratefully acknowledges its alumni’s philanthropic donations that have immensely contributed towards the rapid progress of the Institute. Over the years, the Institute has witnessed the establishment of several Centres of Excellence (CoEs), technologically-advanced laboratories, and state-of-the-art hostel infrastructure on campus. Today, we have over 13,000 students on campus, 15 academic departments, 38 CoEs, 3 schools, and 4 interdisciplinary programs.

The DEAN ACR’s office works closely with its alumni, corporates, and philanthropists to inspire them to contribute to the advancement of IIT Bombay. We also support corporations in their quest to conduct path-breaking research by stewarding their relationships with faculty and departments at the Institute.

I urge our alumni to keep supporting the Institute as we strive to soar higher. I thank you all for your support over the years and look forward to our continued association.
