IIT Bombay celebrated the country’s 77th Independence Day near the famous arch facing the Nandan Nilekani Main Building on August 15, 2023. The Institute also paid homage to the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM)’ that commemorates 75 glorious years of a progressive independent India.

The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag by Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director, IIT Bombay. He later addressed the attendees and conveyed his warmest greetings to the IIT Bombay community. Prof. Chaudhuri briefed the gathering about the recent achievements and milestones accomplished by the Institute and urged all the attendees to strive toward a glorious future.

Several Institute functionaries, faculty, students, and IIT Bombay’s staff attended the function which was broadcast live on the Institute’s YouTube Channel.
