In my first year at IIT Bombay, I weighed 104 kg, I participated in swimming for NSO credit. To pass, I did 12 hours of continuous marathon swimming. After 8 hours in the pool, when I was close to giving up, my friends came in at 3 am to cheer me on to keep swimming. For an overweight person without a sports background, this event impressed into my ethos that hard work and support of friends can help us accomplish anything.
