IIT Bombay and Larsen & Toubro Infotech Limited (LTI) are collaborating on ambitious programmes in Satellite and Space Technology at the Institute. These include establishing the Student Satellite Program, developing modular satellite subsystems, and integrating them into a nanosatellite.

The project focuses on developing a monitoring system specific to native Indian bees, like Apis cerana. The device does not require network data plans or sim cards.
