Mr. Salil Parekh is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Infosys. He graduated with a B.Tech. in Aeronautical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 1986 and got his M.S. in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York in 1988.

Mr. Parekh has been the CEO of Infosys since January 2018 and has helped strategize the company’s focus on digital transformation and cloud services, and driven its execution. Mr. Parekh works with several client leaders directly to help them put in place and execute their digital transformation programmes. Examples include a leading global automotive company, a leading mutual fund company, and a leading telecommunication company, amongst others. Over the years, he has helped build, grow, and turned around businesses, and as a result, built strong leadership teams and trusted client relationships. He has also helped drive scale acquisitions and their integration across geographies and sectors.

Prior to Infosys, Mr. Parekh held leadership roles at Capgemini (Member of the Group Management Board) and Ernst & Young LLP (Partner) over the past 25 years.

He has won many awards over the years. These include the Fortune India Best IT CEO 2022, the BT-PwC India’s Best CEO 2022 –Large Companies, Forbes India Leadership Awards 20-21 – Best CEO in the Private sector, and the Business Standard Annual Awards 2021 – CEO of the Year.
