Adil Zainulbhai

Mr. Adil Zainulbhai obtained his B.Tech. degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.

He is currently the leader of Indian practice of McKinsey & Company, Inc. He moved back to India in 2004 after 24 years with McKinsey in the United States, where he started the Minneapolis Office and led the Washington D.C. Office of McKinsey & Company. Since joining McKinsey in 1979, he has served a wide range of clients (including large corporates, MNCs, PSUs, and family-owned businesses) across sectors including telecommunications, consumer electronics, energy, banking, infrastructure, and health care.

Over the last five years, he has led McKinsey in India through a phase of significant growth and helped it maintain its status as the employer of choice and its reputation as the leading management consulting firm. Mr. Zainulbhai advises not only the CEOs of current and emerging industries, but also several government agencies on issues related to nation building.

He has addressed various Indian and multinational forums like the World Economic Forum summits in Belgium, USA, Scandinavia, Japan, etc. He has served on the Boards of Indian CEQ High Tech Council and The Indus Entrepreneurs, and is currently on the Boards of American India Foundation and Saifee Hospital, Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust and Wockhardt Foundation. He has also served on the Advisory Board of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
