Arun Majumdar appointed as the inaugural Dean of the new Climate Change School - the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability at Stanford University

Arun Majumdar has been appointed as the inaugural Dean of the new Climate Change School – the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability at Stanford University. In his new role, Dr. Majumdar will be a driving force behind the School’s mission to collaborate with external organisations to co-develop innovative solutions and identify new insights through research and education, as stated by him in a press release.

Dr. Majumdar completed his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering in 1985 from IIT Bombay. He is currently the Jay Precourt Provostial Chair Professor, a faculty member of the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering, and Senior Fellow and former director of the Precourt Institute for Energy.

Combating climate change is the need of the hour and IIT Bombay is immensely proud that its former student has been chosen to play a crucial role in leading this effort.
